Pivovara Daruvar doo is located in the center of the city of Daruvar, which is located in the center of continental Croatia, surrounded by the slopes of Papuk.
Because of the extremely soft water and climate suitable for growing malting barley and hops, and the fact that in the past Daruvar was the economic center of Western Slavonia with healing thermal water baths, a brewery was founded on the estate of Count Janković in 1840 and beer production began.
Daruvar Brewery is the oldest Croatian brewery that has been located in the same location since its foundation, and the brewery that has the oldest Croatian beer brand in its portfolio - Staročeško pivo, which makes it unique in this area.
